The payasam served in Ambalapuzha temple is famous among Hindu devotees.
This payasam tastes some what similar to Ambalapuzha paal payasam. This is a pudding made of milk, sugar and rice only with three ingredients. Very simple, easy, tasty paal payasam can be made in your home too. A simple trick to remember the ratio of milk, sugar and rice used is 4:1:1. That is 4 cups of milk, 1 cups of sugar, 1 handful of rice.

- 4 cups Milk
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/3 cup Broken Chamba Rice (Or a hand full)
- Broken chamba rice is best for this payasam.

- If chamba rice is not available, then white rice can also be used.
